Kiwamu: Many fans join a visual kei band’s fan-club without listening their music. I hate that situation. I can’t understand that. Visual kei music is just fashion to many fans.Gothic is my attitude to express my feeling. So I don’t join in any record company in Japan. For the visual kei record company, artists are just money. Not music. They just want to get money from artists. So I have helped many independent artists in Japan.

The things Kiwamaru is so true -.- i hate fake fangirls T_T” they piss me off D8< no one appreciates teh music these days, only a few  the real fangirls do =/

Kiwamaru: We don’t say “BLOOD is not visual kei!” It is a very strange thing. Some artists do this. A shame. They spit on their past works. It is not cool. In fact, music genres are just for the music companies and CD shops.

Just wondering, is he referring to Dir En Grey? :S

Kiwamu: Please look at the Japanese visual kei scene. There are no good bands, I think. When we started music, there were many good visual kei bands. X-Japan, Luna Sea, Kuroyume etc. Recently many bands are just boring bands. There is no originality. Right?

This is kind of true :S i mean, X Japan was godly~ most of their songs i liked ._. No one can sound like Toshiya. But these days sometimes i can’t even tell the difference between some songs T_T sad but meh :S

    3. yes good vk bands are rare these days. i think gazette is going down abit…T_T” and i dont think i really LOVE any other vk bands…haha sakii i cant tell the difference either xD

    As a VK fan, I’ve always tried to learn about the band, listen to some music, get acquainted with their faces (so I know who others are referring to when speaking of). Sadly there are people who haven’t even heard a song of the band in their life and only join cause He/she is hot. Take MYV for instance, some people only love him because he is super spastic, sexual on stage and hot. Sometimes it only take a song and then the person hates them “cuz liek their muzic sux lol”

    What Kiwamu said does sound like a Dir en Grey reference. They left their Visual era behind, and haven’t really looked back on it since. Even Shinya looks more manlier than usual.

    Originality has died in the sense. the GazettE really isn’t on top of their game anymore. The JCA, I think, was based on what Kiwamu said in the first block-quote. Mindless fangirls over appearance. Hell, half the fans you talk to these days don’t even know what Visual kei is really about, some never heard of the term. A lot of bands have also left the scene. Phantasmagoria was an excellent VK band, but now all that is left is Kisaki with his show or whatever it is and Jun making near perfectly copied guitar rifts of hide.
